| So i decided after my crazy weekend it London it was time to update... lets see. We left thursday morning and rode first class to London (pretty steller for my first time on a train). We got in and directly met up with some friends of Lilly's... we ate dinner at this place called Nando's, AMAZING food. We then proceeded to go back to Nick's place (he's Lilly's friends doing a semester in London) and started drinking. Things got kind of interesting after that. We played Kings and Anna got so leathered that she couldn't even make it out to the club, and Britt had to stay in and take care of her. So Nick, Lil, Terry and I went out to this new bar that just opened, and things were CRAZY. Guys were dancing around the packed bar with no shirts on and by 2 am there were guys running around ass naked. I think i might be scarred for life, but it made for an entertaining night. About 3 am we came home and passed out. I slept at the foot of Nick's bed with Anna and Brittany. The next morning (or should i say afternoon) we got up and went to Camden's market and to see Big Ben. It was awesome and we had a great time just looking around and eating. The most exciting part of the afternoon may have been discovering a Starbucks, we might have bought the place out. We got back to Nick's flat and of course, started drinking again. Thank goodness no one got sick but we did end up getting lost in downtown London at 3 am with 3 drunkass guys who didn't know which was was up. It turned out to be a pretty amusing night esp. since anna and i stayed up till 7 am when we got a train out of London to Bath. While we were in Bath we saw all teh ancient roman baths (hence the name Bath) and shopped around. By the time we got back to London and fell into bed we'd all basically been up for 40 hours straight. The next morning we were up at 7 and traveled 7 hours (bus, train, bus, bus) home to Lancaster. It was a loooooooooong but crazy fun weekend! I can't wait to go back with Jenna. Halloween was fun too... Brittany, anna and i went as combat chics. Not gonna lie we looked pretty amazing, ha. I'm going to see the doctor today because having had an upper-respiratory infection for the last 4 weeks and having contraced and eye infection in both eyes i figured it was time... sorry if you're grossed out. Okay i suppose that's pretty much it! I love and miss you all and if you read this and judge me for it then you're an asshole... thought i'd put that out there for the people i know read this and should just stick to minding their own damn buisness and stay out of mine!! That said... peace out cub scouts | | |
| Soooooooo... i'm finally updating (i know, i had you all dying of suspense). I've been here 6 days now and things are amazing. The town of lancaster is gorgeous. It's the epitome of an english town (all green with cows and cute little houses)... but it's also got great shopping. So many things out here are different that from the states but at the same time many things ar quite similar as well. It's been funny to hear all my english friends using all my cool american words. Intelligent things like dumbass and dude. But then again there's me trying to use words like "quid" and "modules"... talk about sounding like a real dumbass:) The girls and i made the jeff co 423 onion, mushroom, and feta cheese wrap special tonight (ps jamie the girls love it!!). I've tried a ton (and i mean a TON) of english beers and cocktails... everything's good. The one thing about england though is that everything is so damn expensive!!! they have a 17.5% tax on everything (missouri is 7%). I bout died when i found that out. I've been chastised for calling it school out here... it's apparently called "uni". I was like, uh okay and i had to ask someone what the hell a jumper was today (apparently it's a sweater). OH! and they don't call people hot out here they call em "fit". So i'm learning a bunch of english vocab... i also learned all about the british government tonight. My hall mate jen is a poly-sci major and she filled me in, so now i feel educated. School starts on monday so that should be interesting. I met a nice guy named dominique, but i'm pretty lax on the male front here... so i'll let y'all know if anything interesting comes about. I've really enjoyed the e-mails i've gotten from y'all (and if you havent sent me one YOU SHOULD). I don't have a phone or a calling card yet (i know, i'm working on it) but i'll let you know when i do. Okay i guess that bout wraps it up!!!
Cheers mates | | |
| Sooooo... it's less than 48 hours until i shimmy on over the big pond to England. Crazy i know. I'm almost ready to go. Although at the very last minute the daddy person told me if that if i was able to pack everything into two suitcases he would give me the 500$ it will cost to ship my other stuff over so that i can buy new things while i'm there. Which would be a sweet deal if they had target and a tj max. But things over there tend to be, oh, like twice as expensive as things over here. So i'm going to sleep on it and see how i feel in the morning. It's funny, although expected, that everyone has begun calling to say goodbye tonight and i am sure it will continue on into tomorrow. It's made me realize how much i am going to miss everyone. But on the flip side i'm finally starting to get excited. I mean, honestly, i get to go live in a foreign country for 9 months!!! How amazing is that? and i get to see some of my best girls while i'm out there. Well i need to get some sleep... 36 hours from now i'll be on my way to the airport! I cant wait until i get to tell y'all about it. Bon nuit mes amis | | |
| Wow, Nashville has been one crazy event after another. A friend of mine (who shall remain nameless because people talk too damn much) had way to much to drink last night. Really it was quite amusing until i got to sit in the backseat with them and hold the bag as they vomited and then got to fireman carry them up the stairs. Even so it still made for some hilarious stories today (STOP, chandelier!!!). I can't really blame em... i've been there before (Mer, Meg... U of I anyone, st patty's day, superbowel?). This is why we stay away from hard alcohol... only beer for this missouri woman. No lie, the people at Belmont are not a very attrractive bunch. Except of course for Candie and Lee (duh). Therefore i've decided to transfer... okay not really, but it's nice to know that the rest of the world isn't as beautiful as MU. Cause believe me, sometimes i feel like i'm living in something out of malibu barbie land. Tonight when we went to dinner Candie and Lee suprised us with Rascal Flatts tickets (on the floor). It was AMAZING. Believe me, you're jelous you weren't there. My favorite song of the night (besided of course "Broken Road") was "I'm movin on." Kinda fits don't it? Speaking of which, I can't believe i leave in 5 days... i know it's silly but seeing as i'm already and over-analyser, my brain has been on thought over-load the last couple of days. I still have a butt ton of crap to do and now the days to get it done in are numbered. I guess the goal is to keep myself so busy i don't freak out. Oy, can you tell i'm getting ansey? Well the girls are in bed and i suppose it's that time for me as well. hittin the pool tomorrow and then a nice long 6 hour drive home (feel free to call). Take care y'all... bon nuit! | | |
| Okay... so normally i think this xanga stuff is bizzare, but i figured it might not be bad to have a place to tell you about what's going on while i'm in Europe. Instead of e-mailing y'all an ass ton of stuff you'll never read (although i will be e-mailing some of you), i figured i give you the option. I realize i'm not there yet, but what can i say? i'm an overachiever. Therefore i suppose i'll begin: I cleaned out, excuse me, started cleaning out my room today and it's been quite an undertaking. Who would have thought i could accumulate as much crap as i have by the age of 20? My dad and i went shopping for a trunk to ship stuff over in and my dumb ass was like "oh dad i probably won't need it, i don't have THAT much stuff." Pft was i wrong... i have WAY too much stuff. I've been sacrificing stuffed animals and clothing left and right... don't think it's been easy, i'm pretty attached to my collection of care-bears, but i can finally see the bedroom (and hallway, and bathroom and basement floor) so i think we're making progress. Ann's little rockstar self helped me out. After of course i got on my knee's and begged for a good 10 minutes. Well i babysit tomorrow and then leave for Nashville for the weekend. I can't wait!Other than that not much else going on. Next Friday it's off to Europe... pretty crazy huh? Okay time to go watch a movie (no sleep for me). Night y'all. | | |
